The draw of video conferencing solutions is easy to see. Business is usually handled better face-to-face, but poor quality video can ruin an otherwise strong presentation. Achieving that high-quality video, however, has not always been a possibility for small businesses due to price and other factors. The new line from LifeSize looks to change that.
LifeSize, a division of Logitech and a leader in high-definition video collaboration, announced its Unity Series on May 15. Consisting of two, all-in-one systems, the LifeSize Unity 50 and LifeSize Unity 500 models can be set up in minutes with no tools.
According to the release, “These sleek, all-in-one HD video conferencing solutions are designed specifically for simple setup and ease of use, enabling companies of all sizes to reap the benefits of HD telepresence without the hefty price tag or need for a room makeover.”
The goal of the Unity Series is to target smaller business who shy away from video conferencing because of the feeling that is it too complex or expensive.
“With the LifeSize Unity Series, the telepresence experience is now in reach for companies of all sizes,” said Michael Helmbrecht, vice president and general manager of video solutions at LifeSize. “For companies who need to conserve their IT resources or have traditionally thought video conferencing was too complex or expensive to deploy, the wait is over.”
The Unity 50 is a true HD 720p tabletop or wall mounted 24-inch LED display for approximately $3,999 while the Unity 500 is a full HD 1080p with a 40-inch LED display for approximately $19,999.
The new series should be of interest to any small business looking to bring video conferencing into the office and a national IT service provider like CTI Technology can be a one stop shop for a complete solution.
